BA/BS in Biology, General

The Biological Science major at Lee University introduces students to the sub-disciplines of biology, with an emphasis on comprehension, solving problems and research. It prepares graduates for further training or direct work experience. A teacher licensure track leads to first jobs teaching biology in secondary schools. A pre-professional track supports entrance examinations for medical or dental school, and a pre-physical therapy track serves those headed to physical therapy programs. Study abroad and medical mission trips, plus several student clubs, round out the experience. Natural science majors spend much of their time in the science building. Lee University is a Christian institution in Cleveland, Tennessee, and its programs are taught with attention to bringing faith into learning. Prospective students should consult the program page and the admissions office for current requirements, costs and start dates.
