AA/AS in Computer Programming

The software development major trains students to program across several computer platforms. They learn to design and build software in the procedural and object-oriented programming languages that companies favor. Additional study includes database design and development and a first look at networking. The two-year plan of study mixes technical courses such as C#, Java, web database integration and systems development with general education, accounting, business administration and communication. Graduates earn an Associate of Applied Business, and the college maintains transfer agreements, including those offered through its university partnership, for students who wish to continue. Completers earn a Associate of Applied Business degree. The program is listed in the 2026-2027 college catalog under curriculum code 6618, in the Engineering, Business & Information Technologies area.
