The Education program at Navarro College gives students two main routes. One is a transfer curriculum known as the Teaching Pathway, which is built for people who plan to become classroom teachers; completing it earns an Associate of Arts in Teaching. The other route is aimed at students drawn to roles such as teacher's assistant or childcare worker. Coursework there explores how a family's makeup and culture affect the way adults and children talk, and students learn to speak up for children and their families. The catalog lists several teaching degree plans, divided by the grade levels a student hopes to teach.
