AA/AS in Criminal Justice and Corrections

The Law Enforcement Academy Option leads to an Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice and makes graduates eligible for the Ohio Peace Officer Certification exam. Students must meet Academy qualifications for acceptance. Applicants must be 21 years old by March 31 of their graduation year and hold a high school diploma or GED, and younger students face limited job opportunities. Students submit the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission enrollment certification record. The program is tailored for Ohio licensure, so its curriculum may not meet requirements in other states, which can add background checks and drug screenings.
