Cert in Accounting and Related Services

This one-year certificate introduces the balance sheet, the income statement, payroll bookkeeping and individual tax preparation. A working knowledge of accounting supports many business and office jobs, and most management positions expect at least some familiarity with it. Within a single academic year, completers can be ready for clerical jobs in payroll, payables or receivables. The program page also describes the outlook for accounting occupations as favorable, which may appeal to students weighing a quick route into the workforce.
