Cert in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management

The Computer Technician certificate is aimed at people who will work on personal computers and networks and who need some programming exposure. Technicians become familiar with common office software and learn computer operations and systems. Students study structured programming, install and troubleshoot current PC hardware and operating systems, develop software skills, write and debug programs, and put procedures in place against network and computer security risks. Graduates may find work as computer technicians, peripheral equipment operators, help desk technicians or technical support staff. Students can earn the associate degree after one further year of full-time study beyond this certificate.
