Cert in Carpenters

The Vocational Certificate in Carpentry prepares individuals for beginning jobs with home builders, renovation firms and commercial or specialty contractors. NCCER has approved the college as an accredited training site, sponsored by The Southern Company. The page says the trade suits people who enjoy working outdoors, building structures and using tools and machines, who can read blueprints, specifications and diagrams, and who can organize tasks and meet deadlines. Students who want to continue can take additional courses toward the two-year Building Construction Technology associate of science offered by the college.
