AA/AS in Architectural Sciences and Technology

This associate degree prepares students for technical roles in the architectural and construction fields. Coursework centres on drafting with AutoCAD, estimating costs, choosing materials, writing specifications and managing building information through BIM, with safety and environmental topics woven in. Everyone completes a shared core and then picks a single specialty, choosing among construction of buildings, design drafting and civil engineering. Graduates can look for work with engineering firms, contractors, architects' offices, facilities planning teams and construction administration, or go into self-employment.
