AA/AS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technologies/Technicians

The Electronics Engineering Technology program teaches electronics fundamentals to prepare technicians for fields such as computers, networking, instrumentation and biomedical equipment. Content spans direct and alternating current circuits, solid-state devices, analog electronics and digital basics. Students also practise communication and employability skills, safe work habits, reading schematics and soldering, with lectures backed by substantial hands-on lab time. All students take a common core and later concentrate on one or more areas of emphasis. Four embedded certificates are available along the way: basic electronics, electronics technician, laser and photonics, and robotics and simulation. Students are urged to consult the department when selecting courses.
