The Digital Arts degree is an Associate of Applied Science for students interested in graphic design, web design and digital media. It teaches the basics of color, type, page layout and digital production with professional software.
Students choose a focus. The Graphic Design concentration covers print work, branding and storytelling through images, while the Web Design concentration covers interactive design, page layout for websites and front-end coding. Graduates are prepared for entry-level roles including roles in graphic design, web design, digital art and production support, and they build a portfolio along the way.
The program is offered in person on the West Campus and takes two years of full-time study. Students who plan to continue toward a bachelor's degree can use the transfer options available. It is eligible for Title IV aid and offers military and veterans benefits and honors certification. Related programs include Digital Film Arts and Animation.
