This applied program is meant for creative students who want careers building websites, producing printed layouts or working as photographers. Training covers graphics, multimedia, web design and photography, with time spent on practical theory. Students use industry-specific software and learn techniques common in the field. Small classes create a close-knit atmosphere, and the program offers many chances to build a portfolio that employers look for. The page lists an applied science degree, certificates in graphic design and photography, and occupational skills awards in digital media and communications and in graphic design. The program was previously named Visual Communication, and credential name changes dated August 2025 are noted as pending state approval. The department chair of visual communications is the listed contact.
