AA/AS in Music

Quinsigamond's Liberal Arts music option is a two-year transfer pathway for students who want to keep studying music at a bachelor's level or enter work that rewards clear thinking and strong communication. It pairs a wide foundation across the humanities, the social sciences and math and adds a concentration in music. Coursework builds basic musicianship, theory and composition, and asks students to place musical styles and national traditions in historical context. Graduates learn to interpret what a piece of music is saying by tracing where it came from. Classes meet on the West Boylston Street campus. Admission requires a high school diploma or an equivalent credential. The program is organized over 4 semesters and totals 60 credits at the low end of the stated range. Tuition is listed at $227 per credit for in-state students and $433 per credit for out-of-state and international students, and some programs carry extra program fees.
