AA/AS in Computer Science

Computer Science at Reedley College is built for students heading to university computer science programs. It is awarded as an Associate of Science and belongs to the STEM pathway. By the end, students should grasp how computing affects society and approach technical work ethically. They also learn to code in procedural languages as well as in object-oriented ones. Because the focus is on transfer to a university, the courses line up with what many universities expect from incoming majors. An associate degree is granted once the major courses and the additional associate degree requirements are finished. Program maps show one possible path through the curriculum, and students can make a counseling appointment to design an education plan that fits their needs.
