MA/MS in Chemistry

This master of science in chemistry is intended to deepen a student's expertise in one area of chemistry while strengthening scientific communication, both spoken and written. Applicants must meet the university's admission rules and typically hold a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry or a closely related subject, with at least a 3.0 average in chemistry and related coursework. Certain graduate classes assume earlier study of physical chemistry or biochemistry, so people coming from other disciplines could need extra preparation. The package includes the department's own application form and three recommendation letters submitted via CalApply, in addition to the university application. The department reads each file individually.
