AA/AS in Construction Engineering Technology/Technician

Construction Management is an applied associate degree with a four-sector specialty, available on campus and online. It is meant for students who want to oversee building projects rather than only work on a crew. Students learn how a project is conceived and organised: costing and purchasing, setting schedules, supervising progress, estimating quantities and putting plans into action. The coursework also prepares them for the OSHA certification exam, an important safety credential on job sites. A certificate of technology provides a shorter option that prepares students for the degree or an entry-level position. The associate degree itself is organised over four full-time terms, after which graduates can seek positions in construction coordination, estimating and project support.
