Overview

Instrumentation Technology is an applied associate degree for students who want to work with the devices that measure and control industrial processes. The program is geared toward those who intend to begin a technical career in plants and similar facilities. Students learn to put in place, calibrate and diagnose process instruments, along with the control loops they feed. Programmable logic controllers and wider automation topics receive attention, giving graduates a feel for modern industrial systems. Full-time study takes five terms and includes a summer term. Graduates who want to deepen their abilities can follow the degree with enhanced skills certificates that focus on advanced PLC work, automation and industrial control.
