AA/AS in Criminal Justice and Corrections

Criminal Justice Technology is an associate degree preparing students for work in policing, corrections, forensic work or community supervision, without including officer certification. Graduates can start as skilled technicians or specialists within agencies, or apply to the college's law enforcement or corrections academy for officer training. Courses are taught at the Northwest Campus, and content spans investigations, care of incarcerated individuals, public contact procedures, report writing and decision making. Students who finished one of the college's officer certificates can use a summer bridge course to earn credit toward this degree. Financial aid, institutional scholarships and military-friendly support are available to eligible students, and the program page links to each resource. Prospective students are encouraged to speak with an advisor about sequencing, since planning ahead helps them stay on track toward finishing.
