BA/BS in Computer Science

Computer science at Shenandoah University gives students a grounding in programming and in the logic behind algorithms. Python is the language taught, and robots are used so that writing code feels practical and fun. The subject is designed to combine with other fields, particularly mathematics and the natural sciences. Students from different majors take classes together, which shows how computing applies in whatever area they choose to study. A minor can be declared with an academic advisor. The university career office helps with resumes, cover letters, practice interviews and dining etiquette sessions. Applications are accepted year-round on a rolling basis and each one is reviewed individually. Students interested in the subject can read more about admission standards and required materials online.
