Overview

This applied science degree covers the many tasks of working with property: sales, promotion, leasing, purchasing, valuation, investment and management. Several courses satisfy Ohio's educational rules for people who intend to take the state sales licensing exam. Graduates are expected to understand contracts, how property is valued and how it is financed, to communicate well in speech and writing, to apply math and computers, and to act ethically as professionals. Embedded certificates are awarded automatically, though a student can ask Registration and Student Records to withhold them. A credit range is published, and the plan has applied since Fall 2025. Graduates can pursue many roles in the property field, and the licensing-related coursework gives them a head start toward working legally as a salesperson in Ohio.
