Cert in Animal Sciences

The Large Animal Care and Handling certificate introduces students to agricultural work with livestock. It combines hands-on animal management with a base of business and communication knowledge, so graduates understand both the animals and the operations around them. Course topics include handling and husbandry, reproduction, nutrition, food science and agricultural marketing. The certificate suits people seeking work as farm workers, farm managers, feed store staff or farm banking assistants, and it is embedded in Sinclair's Agricultural Science degree. Sinclair Community College offers this short-term certificate, which belongs to the Business and Public Services division and its Agriculture area. The listed requirements total 19 credit hours and reflect the catalog version effective Fall 2026. Students can ask an advisor how this shorter credential fits their goals and how its courses relate to other Sinclair programs. Course lists can change, so students should confirm current details with the college before enrolling.
