MA/MS in History

This public history master's degree honors the heritage of the Alamo City and nearby areas. Students explore regional history, tourism built on heritage and the digital techniques of public humanities work, and the program is available in person and online through the history department. Graduate students contribute to local, state and national projects through class work, internships and assistantships, producing a varied portfolio that prepares them for professional employment. Educators can add training for dual credit teaching through a related certificate. Undergraduates may enter a combined degree option that lets them begin graduate study early and complete a bachelor's and master's degree together. Course highlights and certificate pathways are described on the program page, with both in-person and online options for different schedules.
