AA/AS in Animal Sciences

For students headed toward a family farm or a position in the dairy industry, this two-year associate degree concentrates on managing dairy cattle with both managerial and practical emphasis. The curriculum mixes science and business subjects with plenty of applied work. Training happens in a free-stall dairy complex that houses milking cows, a modern milking parlor and a computer system run by students, plus barns for heifers, calves, maternity and showing. About five hundred acres of cropland back up the herd's feed needs. The program is taught in person on the Morrisville campus and totals about 60 credit hours. Prospective applicants can use the program page to request information or begin an application. Study is offered by SUNY Morrisville at the two-year associate level, and the page also links to the college catalog and the course sequence for planning each semester.
