Cert in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications

This short certificate prepares students to sit the Cisco CCNA exams on routing and switching. The industry credential shows a holder can set up, configure, run and troubleshoot mid-sized routed and switched networks. The sequence has three courses: networking fundamentals, routing and switching essentials, and scaling networks. Together they total 11 units and are spread across three semesters. Skills certificates are recorded on the transcript at the end of the term but cannot be chosen as a major. The program cannot be paid for with financial aid, although awarded scholarships may apply.
