BA/BS in Rhetoric and Composition/Writing Studies

Students receive thorough preparation in writing, rhetoric and literacy for careers built on analyzing, creating, editing and adapting text, whether printed, digital or multimedia. The major can be completed fully online, though some electives or prerequisites may not be offered that way. New students who study only online may enroll with lower campus fees. Transfer students with an associate degree, or composition credit from elsewhere, are urged to begin with the foundations course in their first semester. The program is part of the Arts and Humanities college at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. Prospective students can use the program page to learn more, request information and review degree requirements and application deadlines before applying. Tuition is charged per credit hour, with separate rates for Florida residents and out-of-state students.
