Program details

Overview

The civil engineering program uses hands-on learning in small groups led by faculty with industry experience. It opens with surveying and computer-aided design courses that support internships and later study. Students explore several areas of the field, practice surveying, prepare draft plans, work in laboratories and on construction sites, and join industry partners on real problems. The skills apply to roads, dams, bridges, buildings, airports and water systems, and graduates can work in construction, transportation, water utilities and flood management.
