BA/BS in Architecture

Utah Valley University offers a professional architecture degree that runs over five years. It is arranged as a two-plus-three ladder, so students receive an associate degree in engineering design technology partway through and continue toward the full professional credential. The curriculum follows classical and traditional design principles and aims to meet national accreditation standards. Coursework covers building craft, construction technology, codes and specifications, digital modeling, visualization, fabrication, structural and envelope systems, and sustainability. Graduates are prepared for leadership roles in architecture and urban design, with an emphasis on durable, human-scaled places that strengthen communities. Prospective students are advised to review the official Utah Valley University program page for the current course list, advising contacts, and guidance on how to sequence classes, and should speak with a department adviser before planning a schedule or declaring the major.
