Accounting Technology gives students practical skills for accounting and bookkeeping careers. They learn the methods used to balance books, process payroll and manage money for small and large businesses, and they become confident with common software for tracking data and producing reports. The certificate plan runs three quarters and includes principles of accounting, QuickBooks and payroll accounting. An associate degree continues the work through a second year, and every class can be taken online. Graduates find positions across nearly every industry, from tax preparation to client invoicing and financial statements. Courses are offered at Walla Walla and Clarkston campuses.
