MA/MS in Biotechnology

This master's degree is a skills-based, non-thesis program for people building or advancing careers in the biotechnology industry, which is strong in central Massachusetts. Students complete laboratory training with modern equipment and learn alongside peers and industry partners on practical problems. The plan of study totals thirty credits, with fifteen in biology and biotechnology, nine in skills courses, fifteen more for depth and six in electives. Some skills courses can be taken fully online and asynchronously, while certain lab courses need campus presence. Admitted students typically hold a life-science degree, an engineering degree with life-science grounding, or another degree showing biology knowledge.
