BA/BS in Civil Engineering

The Bachelor in Civil Engineering at Metropolitan Tirana University trains engineers for the building and construction sector. The curriculum combines theory with practical experience and draws on approaches used in comparable programmes in Albania and elsewhere. Study lasts three years, carries 180 ECTS credits and is delivered full-time. Students work with current engineering software and in laboratories equipped for materials testing and technical analysis. The programme encourages them to treat research and careful evaluation of laboratory results as part of their professional responsibility, and it links the taught subjects to real production processes. Graduates can take up positions on construction projects, work as specialists in assessing the quality of materials, or enter property valuation, in Albania or abroad. The degree also provides a base for continuing into second-cycle studies and for learning throughout a career.
