BA/BS in Economic Informatics

This Bachelor in Economic Informatics is taught in English at Metropolitan Tirana University. It combines information technology with economics so that graduates understand how digital tools support business, services, communication, analysis and data management. Students build a base in computing, learn to analyse the information needs of an organisation, structure data in databases and create web and standalone applications. Alongside this technical content the curriculum contains a considerable amount of economics, from economic theory to programming practice, so that the two disciplines are studied together. The stated goal is to train specialists who help companies exploit information technology to become more competitive. Graduates are meant to be able to work locally and abroad in a range of information technology profiles.
