This integrated second-cycle programme leads to a Scientific Master's degree in Architecture at Metropolitan Tirana University. It is organised around five years of study and is split into profiles for the general architect, the restorer, the engineer-architect, the bio-architect and the interior architect.
Coursework covers architectural drawing, the design of buildings of varied scale and purpose, urban design, history and theory, constructive design, restoration, materials technology, interior and environmental design, and parametric approaches. Students practise with Autocad, Revit, 3D Studio Max, Photoshop and similar tools, and they learn in design studios and alongside construction companies.
By the end of the programme, graduates are expected to apply theoretical and practical knowledge within the architectural design process and to research, analyse and judge design problems critically. Applicants who are passionate about architecture are invited to take on this long and demanding course of study.
