Overview
Barbados Community College's Certificate in Fashion develops student skill across several areas of the fashion field through a mix of design and technical coursework. A Design strand is built to foster creativity, encouraging experimentation and innovation, while a separate Technical strand teaches the fundamental building blocks of garment construction.
A third, customised or personalised option lets students tailor the certificate to their own needs rather than following one fixed track. Whichever route a student takes, completion opens paths into further fashion study or directly into work, whether as a seamstress, in a designer's studio, or in another fashion-related role in the industry.
