Overview
Barbados Community College's Certificate in Interior Design responds to a growing local interest in decorating, fuelled partly by television programming and local trade shows on the subject. The programme builds a working knowledge of the fundamentals of interior design alongside the practical techniques needed to operate in this increasingly competitive field.
It is pitched broadly enough to serve two different kinds of student: the homemaker who simply wants a deeper grasp of decorating for personal use, and the person looking to break into the industry professionally, including the related fields of event decorating and event display work.
