Bachelor of General Studies

The Bachelor of General Studies (BGS) is a flexible undergraduate degree offered in two tracks: Education, with Elementary and Secondary options, and Arts and Science, each allowing students to build a customizable area of concentration. The program is built around a common core before students move into their chosen track's specific components, beginning with 27 credit hours of Christian Studies and 18 credit hours of Foundational Studies. Students complete at least 90 credit hours in total, including 24 credit hours at the 300-level or above, alongside a Service and Experiential Learning component. Classes are small and discussion-based, integrating biblical and theological study with the student's chosen area of focus. The degree suits students who want breadth across disciplines or who are working toward teacher certification through the Education track, while keeping the flexibility to tailor coursework to their interests and goals.
