Overview
The Civil Engineering Bridge to the University of British Columbia (UBC) Advanced Diploma is offered by Camosun College with co-operation of UBC. Students with an approved diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, or a related discipline, can take this program to upgrade their mathematics, sciences, and related engineering knowledge in preparation for entering the third year of Applied Science (Engineering) at UBC.

Admission Requirements: This advanced diploma bridges graduates into UBC's Civil Engineering programme, so entry is diploma-based rather than Grade-12-based. Applicants need a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, TAC-accredited, completed within the last five years with a minimum cumulative GPA of 5.0 (B), calculated across all courses taken toward the diploma including repeats, and no individual course grade below C; diplomas completed more than five years ago are accepted with the same GPA if paired with a Letter of Intent covering work experience or professional development since graduation, and diplomas from another closely related discipline are considered case by case. No IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, Duolingo or CAEL score is published. Official high school and all post-secondary transcripts must be submitted, and in-progress transcripts are accepted where the final diploma courses are still under way. Applicants are ranked by GPA, with UBC making the final decision; the next intake is Fall 2027, with applications open 1 October 2026 to 1 March 2027 and documents due 15 March 2027.
