Overview
The Leadership Micro-Credential is designed for all levels of leadership, from developing leaders working towards career advancement to established leaders with a desire to hone their skills in a changing workplace. This course is suitable for leaders in the public, private, non-profit or academic sectors. You will gain the tools to identify their own strengths and weaknesses and access resources to grow and make a positive impact. Major topics include communication, well-being practices, change management, equity, diversity and inclusion, and leading a remote workforce.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Camosun's own Admission Requirements section for the Leadership Micro-Credential states that the program has no prerequisites; a commitment to attend all sessions is strongly encouraged rather than mandated. The college recommends applicants already be functioning as an emerging, current, or established leader — for example, someone supervising individual projects or people as a team leader, or an entry- to mid-level supervisor, manager, or administrator — but does not require proof of this experience to register. No academic transcript, minimum grade average, English-language test score, portfolio, interview, or age requirement is published for this cohort-based, part-time online program. Enrolment proceeds directly through online registration, and students are simply expected to attend all of the live interactive Zoom sessions that make up the course.
Application Details
Application Deadline:Domestic applicants apply through EducationPlannerBC for Camosun's open-enrolment programmes: for Fall 2027 (September) applications open 1 October 2026 with an early deadline of 15 May 2027 for priority registration and a late deadline of 26 August 2027; Winter 2027 (January) runs 15 September 2026 to 7 January 2027, and Summer 2027 (May) 15 January 2027 to 29 April 2027. Limited-enrolment programmes publish only an opening date and can close once the waitlist exceeds the seats on offer. International applicants must submit a complete application by 1 June (Fall), 1 October (Winter) or 1 February (Summer), though later applications are still reviewed while seats remain, making admission effectively rolling for both groups once the early deadlines pass. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
