Diploma in Social Sciences, Discovery Pathway

Social Sciences, Discovery Pathway is a pre-university Diploma of College Studies (DEC, 300.DA/DB) offered at Cegep de Sainte-Foy over two years across four or five sessions, with intake in both the fall and winter terms. The program introduces students broadly across the humanities and social sciences, covering administration, anthropology, ancient civilizations, economics, geography, history, psychology, sociology, political science and religious studies, so students can sample multiple disciplines before choosing a university specialization. Two pathway options are available: a stream without mathematics and a stream that includes mathematics, both completed over four or five sessions depending on course load. The diploma gives access to a wide range of university programs, including law, psychology, communications, education, and other humanities, social science and administration fields. It suits students who are undecided about a specific social-science discipline and want breadth across the humanities before committing to a specialized university program.
