This two-year online Ontario College Diploma prepares students for the building industry through instruction in design and construction drawings and contract administration tasks. Delivered asynchronously, the project-based curriculum highlights a different building type each semester and covers building materials, building codes, and technical computer-aided design skills, with an emphasis on energy-efficient and sustainable design and construction strategies. Faculty include current industry practitioners who bring professional experience directly into the coursework. Graduates are prepared for technician roles supporting architects, engineers, and construction firms on residential and commercial projects, and the diploma provides a pathway for students who wish to transfer into Centennial's three-year Architectural Technology advanced diploma to continue toward a more advanced credential.
