Overview

College of the North Atlantic's Architectural Engineering Technology program is a three-year diploma delivered on campus at the Ridge Road campus, preparing technologists for the building and construction industry. Students learn to draft, design, and document building projects, covering structural systems, building codes, materials, and construction methods used in residential and commercial construction. The program addresses the growing complexity of modern construction, including the sustainability standards buildings are increasingly expected to meet. Coursework combines drafting and design software instruction with technical coursework in structures, mechanical and electrical systems, and project documentation. Graduates are prepared for roles as architectural technologists and technicians working with architectural firms, engineering consultancies, and construction companies, supporting the design, documentation, and delivery of building projects from concept through construction.
