Overview
Massage Therapy is an Ontario College Advanced Diploma delivered by Centennial College at the Morningside Campus over three years across six semesters, completed continuously over 24 months in this compressed delivery format rather than with extended breaks between semesters. Because the profession requires hands-on clinical skill, the program is delivered entirely in person. The curriculum builds clinical competency in assessing and treating conditions affecting the lymphatic, muscular, nervous, fascial and joint systems, combining massage theory and practice courses with clinical anatomy, pathophysiology, biomechanics, therapeutic relationship skills and business practices for private practice. Practical training takes place in two on-campus public clinics and through community outreach placements, and students must complete 330 direct client care hours across student clinics and outreach before progressing. On graduation, students are eligible to write the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) registration examinations to become a Registered Massage Therapist. The program is accredited by the Canadian Massage Therapy Council for Accreditation. It suits students seeking a compressed, full-time path into regulated massage therapy practice, with graduates going on to work as RMTs, sports RMTs or rehabilitation RMTs in hospitals, wellness facilities, sports clinics, spas and private practice.

Admission Requirements: An Ontario College Advanced Diploma run continuously over 24 months (6 semesters) at Morningside Campus. Entry: an OSSD or equivalent, or mature-student status at 19 or older, with Grade 12 English (C or U); Biology at Grade 11 or Grade 12 (C or U); and one further science at Grade 11 or Grade 12 (C, M or U) from Physics, Chemistry or Exercise Science, each at the stated minimum grade. Before field placements you need a clear police check with vulnerable sector screening renewed within six months of each placement start, CPR at Health Care Provider level renewed annually, a recognised standard first aid course, mask fit testing provided by the College, and a pre-clearance health form signed by a physician or nurse practitioner. September and January starts.

Application Deadline:Centennial publishes no application deadline for this program; what follows is the Ontario college cycle that governs it. Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca: for a program starting in Fall 2027 the equal-consideration date is 1 February 2027, and applications arriving after it are still assessed, but first-come first-served while places remain. Across the Ontario college system the application opened on 26 September 2026, offers may be issued from 1 November 2026, and an offer must be accepted by 1 May 2027. One $150 fee covers up to five program choices. International applicants apply directly to Centennial through its own international application process and are assessed on a rolling basis across the Fall, Winter and Summer intakes; the college publishes no fixed international closing date. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
