You may also be interested in: Event Management Throughout the world, humans congregate, gather and collaborate to learn, celebrate and meet. This program will cover a wide overview of the event industry. You’ll participate in defining, understanding and applying the elements involved in planning and staging corporate, social/life cycle, festivals and conference events, and the types of organizations that produce and present them. By connecting with professors and fellow peers and through the use of independent research, group work, discussions, and experiential and work integrated learning, you’ll examine management practices, including how events are designed, funded, staffed and promoted. You can expect exposure to the planning and development of sustainability, creativity, sales and marketing, and budgeting along with the understanding of volunteer and team building. Among specific learning outcomes will be: performing an analysis of an event objective, completing an RFP, applying for permits, and comprehending by-laws, risk and security requirements. Instructors will guide and direct you to real-world learning opportunities, which will require you to reflect on how the experiences connect to course content. During these experiences, you’ll participate in work-integrated learning assignments, projects or experiential learning opportunities.

Admission Requirements: Admission requires a college diploma or university degree in any discipline; applicants who have completed partial post-secondary education with relevant work experience in hospitality are also considered. English proficiency follows Centennial's institution-wide requirement for graduate-certificate programmes: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no band below 6.0, TOEFL iBT 81 (minimum 19 Reading, 23 Writing), PTE Academic 60 or higher, or Duolingo 125 or higher. No portfolio, interview, or further work-experience documentation is specified. The one-year, two-semester online programme has a January intake for both domestic and international applicants.

Application Deadline:Centennial publishes no application deadline for this program; what follows is the Ontario college cycle that governs it. Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca: for a program starting in Fall 2027 the equal-consideration date is 1 February 2027, and applications arriving after it are still assessed, but first-come first-served while places remain. Across the Ontario college system the application opened on 26 September 2026, offers may be issued from 1 November 2026, and an offer must be accepted by 1 May 2027. One $150 fee covers up to five program choices. International applicants apply directly to Centennial through its own international application process and are assessed on a rolling basis across the Fall, Winter and Summer intakes; the college publishes no fixed international closing date. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
