Overview
The Business School will be offering a variety of delivery modes for new students in all programs. These can include, asynchronous learning, synchronous learning, hybrid, and on-campus deliveries, including evenings and weekends. The two-semester Bookkeeping program at Centennial College will allow you to earn a certificate that will serve as a pathway to the Apprentice-level certification through Certified Professional Bookkeepers of Canada (CPB). Membership in the CPB will open the door to a variety of positions, including bookkeeper, accounts receivable/payable supervisor, payroll administrator and office manager. Once you complete this certificate program, you'll also be eligible to transfer, with credits, into Centennial's two-or three-year Accounting programs to earn a diploma or advanced diploma. By enrolling in Bookkeeping, you will be aligned with Canada’s largest and fastest-growing certifying body of bookkeepers. Graduates can fast-track toward the nationally recognized Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) designation. Learning Outcomes You'll gain the know-how to: Complete bookkeeping functions within the accounting cycle, including accounts receivables, payables, inventory, and payroll processing using relevant software and operating systems; Apply general accepted accounting principles to produce financial statements and reports for proprietorships, partnerships and corporations; Prepare individual income tax returns in compliance with relevant legislation and regulations using tax preparation software; Develop a plan to support the management needs of the bookkeeping function, including planning, forecasting, budgeting, cost and revenue management; Use spreadsheet and database programs, such as Excel and Access, to create and produce reports for business analysis identification of trends and decision-making. Ease of transition into the workplace with hands-on training in Quickbooks and Sage 300 ERP.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: This certificate requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, or mature-applicant status at 19 or older, plus a Grade 12 English College or University preparation course (or Centennial's own English Admission Test) and Grade 11 or Grade 12 Mathematics at the College, Mixed, or University level, or Centennial's Math Skills Assessment for Admission. The program page defers its English-proficiency standard to Centennial's institution-wide requirement, which for certificate and diploma programs sets IELTS Academic 6.0 with no band below 5.5, TOEFL iBT 67 with Reading at least 16 and Writing at least 23, and PTE Academic 51. Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca; international applicants apply directly to Centennial. No minimum admission GPA is published. The availability table currently lists only a Winter 2027 (January) intake.

Application Deadline:Centennial publishes no application deadline for this program; what follows is the Ontario college cycle that governs it. Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca: for a program starting in Fall 2027 the equal-consideration date is 1 February 2027, and applications arriving after it are still assessed, but first-come first-served while places remain. Across the Ontario college system the application opened on 26 September 2026, offers may be issued from 1 November 2026, and an offer must be accepted by 1 May 2027. One $150 fee covers up to five program choices. International applicants apply directly to Centennial through its own international application process and are assessed on a rolling basis across the Fall, Winter and Summer intakes; the college publishes no fixed international closing date. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
