Diploma in Gréage de scène

Gréage de scène is an Attestation d'études collégiales (AEC), programme code NRC.0Q, offered by Collège Lionel-Groulx. It trains stage-rigging specialists to plan rigging work, prepare equipment, and inspect rigging installations, and to install, operate, and dismantle scenic elements and apparatus, with placements in professional settings. The programme totals 510 hours over 22 consecutive weeks, including internship placements, delivered primarily in person with some online components; classes run on weekdays and occasional weekends, both daytime and evening, with about 10 hours of weekly personal work expected. Admission favours candidates with appropriate physical aptitudes and, preferably, experience in stage technique, film, television, or circus work, alongside a Diplôme d'études secondaires (DES), Diplôme d'études professionnelles (DEP), or training judged sufficient by the college. Unless holding a DEP, applicants must have interrupted full-time studies for at least two consecutive sessions.
