Program details
Overview
Techniques de production en milieu sterile is an Attestation d'etudes collegiales (AEC), developed with Scinovia, the life-sciences sector workforce committee, that trains technicians specialized in production within a controlled or clean-room environment. Students learn to prepare sterile-environment installations and to operate and monitor the manufacturing processes used to produce biopharmaceutical products. The program targets people already working in pharmaceutical production or related sectors such as food, cosmetics, or natural health products who want to move into biopharmaceutical-production functions. It runs over 12 months in a hybrid format, combining two evening sessions per week from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. with alternating full-day Saturday sessions. Employment prospects in this field are described by Service Quebec as excellent across most Quebec regions for 2024-2028, reflecting the program's development in collaboration with the sector to align training with current sterile-manufacturing workplace needs.
