Production scenique - Regie et techniques sceniques is a two-year intensive DEC (Diplome d'etudes collegiales) delivered at Cegep de La Pocatiere's Montmagny campus (programme code 561.F0). It covers lighting, sound, video, rigging, and scenic-design management through laboratory-based instruction using professional equipment, including ETC and GrandMA 3 lighting consoles and computer-aided design software. Students choose an advanced specialization in sound, lighting, or video in the later sessions and complete a capstone project involving the design and realization of a complex audiovisual production. The programme includes three work-integrated placements: a three-week exploratory stage after year one, placements throughout year two on the installation and dismantling of professional shows, and a final three-week placement in a professional production or broadcast team. Partner organizations include Les Arts de la scene de Montmagny, the Quebec Convention Centre, Solotech, the Quebec Summer Festival, Ex Machina, and the Grand Theatre de Quebec. Graduates work as stage managers, sound, lighting, or video technicians, production assistants, or set technicians.
