Robotics and Industrial Automation (Optional Co-op) is a two-year Ontario Graduate Certificate at Conestoga College delivered through hybrid instruction, combining theoretical study with applied skills in controlling robotic and automated equipment. The curriculum covers mechatronic applications, advanced robotics, additive manufacturing, Industry 4.0 concepts, 3D CAD, smart systems, and industrial automation, using electronics, programmable controllers, computers, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Students gain hands-on experience programming and troubleshooting automated systems used in modern manufacturing environments. An optional co-op stream replaces one course with a work term, giving students the opportunity to apply their skills in an industrial setting before graduating. Coursework builds toward designing, operating, and maintaining automated and robotic systems used across manufacturing and industrial sectors. Graduates are prepared for roles in robotics and automation technology, working with programmable controllers, robotic systems, and smart manufacturing equipment in industrial environments.
