PGCert in Accommodation and Human Rights Management

Accommodation and Human Rights Management is a two-term Ontario College Graduate Certificate at Conestoga College with intakes in January and May. The program develops competencies in advocacy, alternate dispute resolution, critical thinking and change management, applied to workplace accommodation and human rights practice. Students study disability management, return-to-work planning, human rights legislation and advocacy processes through projects, case studies and interactive learning activities. Admission requires a prior Ontario College Diploma, Advanced Diploma or degree in a related field such as business, human resources, community services, social science, law or health care. Coursework prepares graduates to identify accommodation needs, apply human rights and employment legislation, and manage return-to-work and disability accommodation processes within organizations. Graduates pursue roles such as accommodation and human rights advisor, disability management coordinator, return-to-work specialist and human resources professional across public and private sector organizations that require expertise in workplace accommodation and human rights compliance.
