Managing People & Organizations is a major within Dalhousie University's Bachelor of Commerce program, offered as a mandatory co-operative education degree. The program examines the dynamics of managing a workforce in today's business environment, covering organizational design, cultural differences in the workplace, labour relations, ethics, and international management practice. Students complete three paid co-op work terms integrated throughout the four-year degree, alternating academic study with professional work experience in human resources and organizational management settings. The program is based on the Halifax campus, within the Faculty of Management, and admits students each September. Graduates are prepared for careers in human resources, organizational development, labour relations, and general management, supported by practical work experience gained through the co-op terms.
