The Master of Information is a graduate degree from Dalhousie University's Faculty of Management, accredited by the American Library Association. Applicants whose first language is not English must meet the program's own English-language standard, higher than the Faculty of Graduate Studies minimum: TOEFL iBT 100 (or 250 computer-based, 600 paper-based, with a 5.5 Test of Written English), IELTS Academic 8.0, MELAB 95, CanTest 4.5 (no band below 4.0), CAEL 70 (no band below 60), or Pearson PTE Academic 65 overall (nothing below 54); the requirement is waived for a degree completed at an English-medium university where English is an official language. Applications require transcripts, two academic reference letters, a CV, and a 5-6 page application essay.

All other undergraduate programmes are considered on a rolling, space-available basis for both domestic and international applicants, with no separate international closing date published; May 15, 2026 is only the deposit and English-proficiency deadline, not an application deadline.
