MA/MS in Public Administration Management (MPA) (M)

The Master of Public Administration (Management) -- MPA(M) -- is a part-time, online/blended graduate program at Dalhousie University's School of Public Administration, designed for working professionals. It combines theory, analysis, and day-to-day practical management learning to help mid-career professionals address complex public-sector policy and management challenges. Coursework is delivered asynchronously with scheduled virtual sessions, plus an in-person intensive component of about 2.5 days for each core course. The program consists of 13 courses (nine core and four electives), completed part-time over roughly 2.5 to 7 years, with admission each September, January, and May. Applicants need at least five years of full-time professional and relevant workplace experience, and a four-year undergraduate degree with at least a 3.0 GPA from a university recognized by the Senate of Dalhousie University; applicants without a degree may be considered case-by-case with a portfolio demonstrating equivalent learning. Each course carries the same tuition rate for domestic and international students.
